MOFCOM Responds on Potential Easing of Rare Earth Magnet Export Restrictions to the U.S.: Actively Facilitating and Easing Compliance Trade

On December 25, He Yongqian, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, addressed questions regarding rare earth magnet exports during a regular press conference, stating that China actively promotes and facilitates compliant trade. At the press conference, a reporter asked, "Given the trade agreement already reached between China and the U.S., will the Ministry of Commerce consider easing restrictions on rare earth magnet exports to the United States?" He Yongqian provided the above response.

"As I have repeatedly emphasized, China is always committed to maintaining the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains and actively promotes and facilitates compliant trade," He Yongqian said.
